U-Drill 2D SPMG Type — indexable carbide insert drill for CNC and conventional lathes/machining centres. Uses SPMG-style inserts at the drill tip for high-productivity hole making in steel, stainless steel, cast iron and aluminium. 2D drilling depth (twice the drill diameter).

How it works
The drill body has two insert seats at the tip — typically one central insert and one peripheral insert (or two symmetric inserts, depending on design). When edges wear, you index or replace the inserts instead of the whole drill. Drill body life is 50-100+ insert sets if run within spec.
Insert match
Use SPMG-style carbide inserts sized for the drill body. Check the drill body's seat code — common sizes are SPMG050204, SPMG060204, SPMG07T308, SPMG090408, SPMG110408. Coating choice (TiAlN / TiCN / AlCrN) depends on workpiece.

Coolant through the spindle (thru-coolant) recommended for all materials; external coolant acceptable for aluminium. Peck-drilling may be needed for deep holes beyond 2D.
